How to improve AI-generated training materials
Give AI a defined audience, learning task and source material, then check each draft before turning it into slides or participant work.

Write the brief before the prompt.
Decide who will attend, what they already know, what they must practise and how you will judge that practice. Gather the material you are authorised to use. Remove personal and confidential information from examples before entering it into a tool.
Ask for one useful draft at a time: first the learning outcomes and session flow, then the activity instructions, slides and assessment. Review the first response before using it as input to the next. Otherwise an early mistake can spread through the whole set of materials.
Worked example: replace a generic prompt.
Illustrative editorial example, not a participant result or the proprietary TrainerX PROMPT model.
A broad request such as “Make a communication workshop” gives the tool little to work with. Try a brief with a task and clear limits:
Draft one practice activity for new team supervisors learning to give a customer-issue handover. Participants must name the issue, next action and responsible person. Use only the fictional case below. Return the facilitator instructions, participant instructions and an observation checklist. Flag missing information rather than inventing company policy. Do not add claims about improved business results. [Insert an authorised fictional case here.]
Check that the checklist observes the three handover elements. If the tool adds an unrelated personality test or unsupported policy, remove it and explain the constraint in the next prompt.
Review the material as a facilitator.
- Verify factual claims against the supplied source. Check calculations and named references separately.
- Read the instructions aloud. Can participants act without you inventing missing steps?
- Check that the activity practises the learning outcome and the assessment observes it.
- Reduce each slide to the idea the audience needs at that moment; put detailed instructions where the facilitator or participant will use them.
- Try the activity and revise confusing wording before live delivery.
You remain responsible for the final material. A fluent response is a draft, not evidence that the content is accurate or suitable.
Choose support for the work you need to do.
TrainerX, a two-day AI for trainers course, uses one real training topic to develop outlines, slides, media, assessments and participant materials through guided practice and feedback. If the main gap is learning-needs analysis, workshop structure and evaluation, compare MWS with TrainerX before choosing.
Put the next step into practice.
